Exciting Changes in Food Service This Year!
We’re thrilled to announce some big updates in our food service program this year. We’re revamping how students are served in line, incorporating more scratch-made meals, and introducing a brand-new menu website. The new site offers detailed nutrition facts and allergen information to help you make informed choices.
As we transition to this new system, we appreciate your patience. While we’re working hard to get everything updated, some information may still be in progress. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Food Service Manager at sfreeman@mmk.wednet.edu.

Today was a great first day as staff returned to Mary M. Knight. The certificated staff participated in professional development, which will continue over the next three days. Both secondary and elementary staff took the time to analyze data, develop their skills, and delve into the focuses set for this year to help our OWLS succeed. We are looking forward to a great year! GO OWLS!
Kayla Mali has joined the school board as its newest member, taking the oath of office on July 29th. As a parent of two students in the Mary M. Knight School District, Kayla brings a valuable perspective to the board. After a rigorous interview process, the board is thrilled to welcome her and believes she will be a tremendous addition. We look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly make.
This week, Coach Beste took our Mary M. Knight Cheer team and attended the summer Cheer and leadership camp at Central Washington University. They have been working extremely hard to refine their cheer skills, learn new routines, and develop leadership skills to support MMK's positive school culture and climate! We are proud of you, OWLS, and can not wait to see this year's impact.
Getting ready for the 2024-2025 school year has kept us busy this summer!
We have been hard at work upgrading and improving our school facilities for our students and community. Some of the improvements include more efficient and cost-effective lighting, upgraded windows at the high school, repainted and finished gym floor, and extending our asphalt and pavement to make more of our property usable for various activities for our students and the community.
